Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair Removal works by focusing pulses of visible light onto the skin to the base of the hair follicle. The light is absorbed by the pigment in each hair follicle, and this causes the hair follicles to be damaged and eventually die.

IPL Rejuvenation is only suitable for clients with fair skin.

During IPL Rejuvenation, you will experience a slight sting, like the snapping of a small rubber band on the skin, each time the IPL is applied.

Immediately following your treatment you may feel “sunburnt” and the treated area may be red for several hours. Clients who have pigmentation will notice the pigment darken and slough off gradually within 2 weeks post-treatment.

In the weeks after the treatment, the fragmented pigment is absorbed by the body leaving little trace of the pigment or freckle.

Improvements can be seen with every treatment, but a course of 3-6 treatments is recommended every 4 weeks from maximum results.

During the consultation, you will be provided with a tailored IPL photorejuvenation solution to suit your individual condition and skin type, providing superior cosmetic results.

IPL uses light to absorb melanin (the dark pigment in your hair and skin) and haemoglobin (the red colour in your blood vessels). The light penetrates the tissue and is absorbed by either the blood when treating vascular lesions, or the melanin when treating pigmented lesions damaging them.

The body’s natural processes then remove the injured tissue giving the skin a more even and youthful appearance.
